Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent of the contribution of the role of teachers as innovators and motivators to student learning outcomes in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMK Negeri 1 Suliki. The background of this research is based on the importance of the role of teachers in adopting the Independent Curriculum which requires innovation in learning methods and the ability to motivate students to be more active and participate in the learning process. In addition, this research is also motivated by the low achievement of the Learning Goal Achievement Criteria (KKTP) in student learning outcomes which is the main concern. The research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing surveys as the primary method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to students. From a population of 198 students, 66 students were sampled using the proportional random sampling technique, with details of 25 students in class X, 20 students in class XI, and 21 students in class XII. Data analysis includes normality tests, multicollinearity tests, homogeneity tests, linearity tests, hypothesis tests, and determination coefficients to measure the relationship and contribution of variables. The results showed that the role of teachers as innovators contributed 33.5% to student learning outcomes, while the role of teachers as motivators contributed 46.3%. Together, these two roles contribute 46.8% to the improvement of student learning outcomes. These findings confirm that teachers' ability to create interesting and relevant learning methods and provide the right motivation has a great influence on improving student learning achievement. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of improving teacher training and professional development in implementing the Independent Curriculum so that the learning process becomes more effective and student learning outcomes can increase significantly
